Showing news as posts?
 
Is there a way I can show news from thread in a specific forum on a custom page?

Like for example, I want to show the 5 latest threads from forumid: 9, and with about 250 characters of the post and then it will show "READ MORE.." with the link to the thread.

Something like the main vB.org site:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/portal.php

How can this be accomplished?

I am looking for a way to do this too...

I have custom pages I have made and want to use a forum as the news on those pages. Any help would be appreciated but if I don't get help I will post my progress.. (if I remember)
