Adding new links to VB CP

Hello,

Im currently working on a site where we have two CP's one VB and one that came with the site script... i'm looking at adding links from site CP to the VB Forum CP, with permisions.

Has any one done this before, if so what you do what files did you edit to add permsions etc.

Any help would be great:)
