PixelFX Studios (Site/Style Review)
 

Figoured I'd finally post my site up for review and or general. Things to note: the site is still in development. And since it is still in design and not open to the public for registrations yet, I setup a guest account for people to wonder around if they want.

Note: my vbulletin, arcade, and cmps are branding free accounts case anyone wonders.. as well as a number of other scripts.

I've tried to go for a general minimalistic layout, or stable, I like easy on the eyes earth tones. This site is generally for friends and portfolio, general design services when I accually eventually open it. I also use it to test systems for my more corperate clients. I'll post some of those sites up for review later .. :D

Site Build Status: 45% Done (good enough I think for general layout review)

PS: I know some of the round edges arn't fully lining up, I'm still trying to correct this. special thanks to all those that have released hacks here for the masses to use. I really Appeciate the hard work, I plan to setup credits page later.

You have a great logo and portal page so far. For being a site that is still in development it is a very clean and well done look.

The welcome message is generic and offers little to tell what the site is about. Your Introduction message below does a much better job. I would suggest combining the two, into one area and saving the space for other uses.

The forum, like the rest of the site, has a very clean and simple look. The forum icons seem almost too simple when compared against the logo. Still, it keeps the simple theme and makes for a very clean forum.

My only suggestion would be to consider a wide version of the skin, so people can choose the look they want.

Thanks for the feedback :D General I keep most of my sites 800x600, but I'll see what I can do with a wide version of the site later :D

I love your style!!! In fact I love all minimalistic styles that let the user focus on the content instead of the graphics. Do you plan to release your style to the public?

I use vbgallery also. What mod are you using for the category avatars/graphics? Looks nice overall as well (site)

do you mean postbits or other? I've done a number of my own custom hacks to the site. Some of which I'm preping to release here :D
