Help with New Template Posting
 

I have created a new template with a few fields on it that are basically another type of post to my forums. I needed to have a second template separate from new thread since there are several new fields that I added to it, however, I would like to have it post the information as new threads.

My first thought is to take the data from the fields and create a hidden textarea to concatenate all this data into, then pass this textarea on the form post.

Is this possible?

Is there another way to do this that would allow me to populate the fields (lists, checkboxes, etc.) when the post is edited?

Am I really the only one that has done something like this?
