anouther score thread

sorry bout this, but ive searched through pages upon pages upon pages of post regarding scores not showing up for installed games and nothing has helped. i probably missed it somewhere, with all the information that is in these pages, its hard to believe that this hasnt been covered.

im running vB 3.6.4 with vBAdvanced and i installed ibProArcade 2.5.9.

all the games that came with it are working fine but when i install a new game it wont save the score. (i know, youve heard this somewhere before. lol.)

i edited the index.php file in my public html file and double and triple checked it and compared it to one that was posted within these pages.

i made all the template edits and throughly double checked them as well.

chmoded files and all the little nicetys and ... nothing. still no score recorded for my new games. the original games are working fine. what am i doing wrong? the games actually work fine, but at the end it asks to submit the score and when you do, the only thing that happens is the game blanks out. (the rest of the page remains the same)

ive only installed two games and i did it by putting the .tar file in the tar folder and installing it usint the tar archives. i also clicked the option to make the score secure.

any help with this would be greatly apreciated. im sure you probably covered this somehere, but im just not finding it. thanks in advance.:(

if its any help, i get this when i install the two games that i mentioned ...

Not certain if this will help you but I was having an issue with several tar games not scoring. I put these handy little swf files in the arcade folder and voila, it fixed more than half of them:

GameCodingHelpfulswfFiles.zip (2.2 KB, 5 views)

Hope this helps...

You are welcome. Also if you turn on secure scoring on those games that still do not send score that is another trick I have learned :D

new v2.6.0+ does not have this setting anymore, it automatically detects if secure scoretransmission is used by the game or not.

The tar-installer got alot improved and should now work fine, try to re-install that game(s)
