Board voting system from postbit...
 

Ok, one of my members suggested this and after some thought I'd thought itd be a cracking hack. Unfortunately though no one seems to have done it (well I can't find it anyway??).....

here's how it works........on the members post somwhere there is a series of buttons, whatever you want to be able to vote on. This could be something like funny, informative, stupid etc you get the idea but would be customiseable ideally. Members could press the button on the post and it puts it in a table. each week you could publish the weeks results. Maybe in a thread, maybe automatically in a box somewhere? I imagine it would sort of work like the ajax thank you button except without the bit where it shows you who thanked or in this case who voted and where.

So you could have funniest poster of the week decided by the members or stupidest member of the week. Obviously people could vote multiple times on each post, but, it kind of makes sense as it is based on your posts for the week....or month or whatever the time period you are looking at.

I am not a coder so wouldn't be able to do this but I just thought I would post it up as I thought it was a great idea.......
