Access for usergroups

I posted this on vBulletin.com, but since it seems this does not work as far as standard features goes, I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a mod or something.

Is there a way to set it so that only a specific usergroup has posting privileges in a specific forum?

I will have lots and lots of usergroups and lots and lots of forums. The usergroups will each be paired with a forum. Only the group in question should be able to post while others should be able to read within that forum.

Using the regular forum permissions is impossible since I have to deny post access manually for every group in every forum. This could be a HUGE problem for me in due time.

I deeply appriciate help on this one.

If you have parent forums you can set permissions on the parent and the child forums will accept those permission.

Also
User Group-Based Permission Duplicator which is in forum permissions at the very top

BTW i have quite a bit of forums myself something around 200 or so. I set permissions very fast using the parents for permissions or duplicator.

It seems you didn't really understand what I meant. Pherhaps I was unclear.

Thing is that every forum needs to be connected to a usergroup, that is this usergroup is the only one that can post in its forum.
I'll still have to set all permissions in the category. And move forums that will not share these permissions to another category.
I would need a way to set the permissions so that a new forum is locked from posting by anyone that is not a member of its own group.

Is there a way to have specific group override the "forum locked" feature? Cos that would do what I want.

And I don't have lots of forums yet since my site is still pretty new, but want to plan for for the future and do it right from the start. Otherwise this might be a real pain in the lower back when I have lots and lots of forums.

Yes, as said above (but maybe not explained correctly) you can do this with the default forum permissions in vB... just give the appropriate usergroup permission to do whatever in whatever forum you would like that usergroup to have privileges.

AdminCP >> Forums & Moderators >> Forum Permissions.
