Podcast and RSS Questions

Hello,

I am going to be starting my Podcast, and I just have a couple of questions here.

I created everything on my site for the Podcast, however I've noticed it takes awhile to update the feed. I checked in the Manual, and I saw that I needed to edit an option to change that. The said option is "Cache Lifespan" correct?

I read in the manual: Your RSS feeds are cached anywhere from one minute up to twenty four hours based on the vBulletin Options > External Data Provider > Cache Lifespan setting. Your podcast may not show up immediately because of this. Change this setting to one minute then wait one minute to ensure that your new podcast is available to podcast clients. vBulletin 3.6.5 resolves this issue by forcing the update automatically when the podcast is posted or modified.

However, vBulletin 3.6.5 isnt released yet, so I am assuming this refers to a new feature forthcoming. Is it possible that I can get this setting to work in 3.6.4 (via a mod) or is the best im going to do is make the setting "1" so that it updates every minute? What do you recommend so that I can update my feed for the podcast?

EDIT: Also, do you recommend using "feedburner" for the Podcast feed or does the vB created RSS feed work for this?

Seems like you and me are both going to have some fun with podcasting. I just updated my boards so I can use this feature. We may need to mutually help each other on this thing, because Im sure it's going to be a beotch :D
