Image Below Username

On Sitepoint for example here: http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=454688 some users have images below their names, im wondering how to do this to selected people. Im looking to do a competition on my forum and add these badges under users names.

Hopefully someone can help me out, thanks.

I THINK that's done by using the user ranks. I have never used those as of yet, but thats my guess as to how its done
