After a quick Google search, it looks like WST is a warez/hacker group. I think you just got screwed out of your money, and may have possibly left yourself open for future attacks. :(

hacker group? they hacked my vbulletin?

I saw a couple examples of them sharing licensed software for free. So yes, that is my assumption. I hope for your sake that I am wrong!

If you really want to be sure, contact vBulletin directly at www.vbulletin.com - they will tell you for sure if this supposed person works for them or not. Problem is, if it is stolen software, you will not be allowed to continue using your forum without purchasing it from vBulletin.com.

Do you have a name of this person who installed it for you? Any of the reputable people at VB would've provided a name or contact information - no shady stuff.

1. nulled - http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=nulled

when a company releases a script/program they have code in the scripts that call back home after u have installed it!

therefore the company can see who u are and whether u bought the script or not etc.

to null a script is to take away the "call back" so that u dont get in dog shit for installing a script that u didnt buy! hope this helped???

hold it so ur saying that the script i have is illeagle? wtf..there is no way im takeing it down I cant I spent soo much money...

SCRIPT3R 02-15-2007 02:10 AM

yes, it's illegal... why not just remove the installed directories (/forums most likely) and delete the databse; easy to do.

02-15-2007 02:13 AM

I would but see i already have alot of members and stuff untel someone told me about the nulled and than i posted here. And technicly i already paid for the script therefor vbulletion has no right to remove my forum.

You paid for an illegally hacked copy of a copyrighted software. vBulletin has every right to demand taking it down. That is an unfortunate situation for you, indeed, but a perfectly legitimate one.

You can always pay for just the year lease license @ $85 USD until you save up enough for an owned license. Likewise, you can ask your members for support if they wish to keep your community active. Set up a PayPal donation account for it!

Unless you purchased directly from Jelsoft, one of it's distributors or the license was officially transfered into your name, you do not have a valid license and are not allowed to use vBulletin.

Please either remove vBulletin or purchase a license at www.vbulletin.com/order

PS Nobody working for Jelsoft is reselling licenses.
