I guess I'm not picking this up as well as I should. I'm completely new to both PHP and MySQL, so looking at those hacks doesn't ring a very large bell.

What I'd like to do, is integrate various vB goodies into my mainpage (which is non-vB). Some basic things I want integrated are polls, and a "Welcome [username/guest]" string at the top. If someone could walk me through this (I've tried the other posts within this forum, no go) I would be grateful. I wish Mas*Mind's script was ready, since I'm sure that would make my mission that much easier.

I'll have vbPortal ready for alpha6 release in a few days. I had to take it down to make changes for vBbeta5, it may not do everything you need but it will give you the basic building blocks. The url is in my sig.
