Limit smilies

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

Was ready to launch my board when I came across this problem.

I decided to import some fun smilies I found on here - thanks!

However, now there are more than the 11 generic smilies, the smilies panel stretches the compose message panel out beyond my template.

Is there any way to limit the amount of smilies which appear on the panel at the side so my template doesn't break? Or do I just need to delete all the nice smilies?!

Tried searching for an hour could find no answer - forgive me I'm new with vBulletin and not really a techie/developer.

Many Thanks

Why do I always struggle for ages to solve something - then give up and post the question on a forum.

And 2 minutes later I figure it out?!

I found it in Admin CP -> Options -> Message Posting Interface Options -> Smiliebox Total Smilies

And I made two groups of smilies, with a different display order for all the non standard ones, and limted the show smilies to 11 - so now it's fixed :p

It's a problem that happens in Firefox, but works fine in IE. I'm guessing your using a fixed width page, and that one emotican holding up the sign is stretching the box. Try removing that one, and seeing if it displays properly. I have some that are 100px or more wide, and it really runs off the whole screen.

Thanks for that - I will take a look at it if I decide I want some bigger smilies to display :)
