CES Board Inactive Alert Placement
CES Board Inactive Alert Placement
Version: 2.0.1 What It Does: Normally vBulletin automatically places the board inactive alert that admins see when the forum is turned off directly after the header and footer templates. On some boards with customized styles, this may not result in the most handsome placement of the alert. This hack will allow admins to place the alert anywhere on a page in any frequency. Products to Install: 1 Plugins Included: 2 New Templates: 0 Files to Upload: 0 Templates to Edit: 0 Files to Edit: 0 Usage: Use the <!-- Inactive --> tag in your templates to put the alert wherever you wish. Note: The tag will only parse when the forum is turned off and the user is an admin. *** Changelog *** As of Version 2.0.1: - bug fix: mod doesn't work As of Version 2.0.0: - Installation completely automated... no more file edits required |
Thanks Installed...

I'm with ^. :p
|
Thanks, mine shows up in the header and footer by default though ;)
|
This is where it should show up by default. However, some of us have customized our templates to the point where the alert appearing in the header and footer doesn't exactly look too great.
For example, I use several layers of divs. This resulted in the alert appearing BEHIND my site, and one immediately following the other (on the same line). Until I created this mod. |
need this...can you please update this to make it work on vB 3.8...thanks in advance ;)

This has been working on 3.8.4 for me. Have you tried installing it yet?

Ah, thanks @princeedward didn't realize the ZIP was not up to date (hadn't been updated in over 2 years). It should now match what we're running on 3.8.4.
