Hi,
apparently under $vboptions there is an option 'shownsigs' which shows if a poster has already had their sig shown on that page, though not for the whole thread.

Is there such a similar variable for avatars? Showing if an avatar has already been shown on that page? Or a similar variable to show if a poster has posted on that page?

And what are the other variables stored in $vboptions?

No, actually there is not a 'shownsigs' variable (by default).
