Deleting template
How do we delete a template from the admincp/edit templates ?
I just customized a mod and i don't need a template from the mod anymore .. There are options : customize , expand/collapse , edit , view original , revert ; but no DELETE. I believe revert has something to do with it but the button is BLANK. |
good question.

Custom templates should delete themselves if you revert it.

The button REVERT it BLANK. It can be pushed ONLY if i modify something inside the template. IF i modify something, when i push the revert, the template content reverts to its original content ( the content had before i pushed the button ) The button REVERT does its job , it reverts content to the original one. But how about deleting the whole template ? I repeat, to make it clear : Original template = button blank. Edited template = button OK If pushed , only reverts to original , NO delete So where is the problem ? How can i DELETE the template ? |
No I understand completely, To my knowledge custom templates (ones that have been added manually by you, not ones added by hacks, default vb templates, etc) a revert will remove the template completely.

Thank you for your fast reply.
The thing is, i didn't add the template, a hack did. Look, i'll explain it to you. :) My "project" was to merge Who has visited & Track guests. So i took some lines from track guests template and added to Who has visited template. Result ? One fine column with members visits, guests & spiders on the same line. Doing this, i don't need the track guests template anymore. You know what i did ? i just empty the template until i find a way to delete it. dumb. |
Yes, I understand and I have had the same problem... The revert button is not available on some templates.... I don't know if this is a recent version bug or what. I dion't recall ever having this problem before but yesterday I wanted to remove some old templates and couldn't.. Same thing, the revert button was not available to push unless I went into the template and changed something. If I pressed revert after that the template would just go back...
This has got to be a bug with this new version. Templates should be easy to delete... |
