Change user ID advice please

My users are winjing at me. I can't seem to find it anywhere and I suspect I am just being dim. They need to change there user ID names but unless I manually create another user and merge it which seems laborious I can't seem to do it. Perhaps I can't see the wood for the trees?. In PHPBB you could just change your name and that was it. Have I missed something?

Do you want to change the Username, or the Userid?

Userid can not be changed.
Username can be changed from AdminCP -> Users -> Edit User.

If you want to allow your members to change their own usernames, check my profile for the Username Manegement modification.

Go to the vB ACP -> Users -> Search for Users, do an exact match search on the current user name, and then change the user name in the resulting page, or go to /forum/admincp/user.php?do=edit&u=X where X is the user ID and change the user name.

Aha! Not that quick folks...My fault for not being very clear but i want my users to be able to change their user names IE Bruce wants to log in as Goldenballs but he is Bruce.

Do you want them to change their name, or add a Display Name?
