Mark Forums Read
 
Is there a way for a member to mark a forum as read permanently, ie not get notified of new posts in that forum ever?

In 3.6 you can mask the forum. Admins must do this. Admin CP>lookup user>"Go" on quick user links. In that list, select the forum(s) that the user can not see, and they will never see that forum. Works well for us...

What the members are wanting it for is so that when they click on New Posts, it won't show them, doing it this way still does.
