You have no new reputation comments

How do I get the "you have x new reputation comments" in the welcome block? I have seen it in a few places, what variable do i have to put where?
e.g.
Welcome, cheekymonk3y.
1 New Post since your last visit.
You last visited: Today at 12:29 PM
Private Messages: Unread 0, Total 0.
You have no new reputation comments.
^this^ cant find how to do it....i think easiest is to add a variable to the navbar template, but what variable? what must i put there?
