Display most active posts based on number of times posted in x amount of time
 

Hi all,

I've done some searching for something like this, and I'm having trouble finding it. I'm a bit of a coder myself, but I'm not very familiar with the way the vBulletin system handles posts.

I need to display the most active threads not simply based on when the last posts were made like a lot of modifications do, but I need it display threads based primarily on how many posts were made in a thread in the past x amount of time. For example, I might need to see the top 5 threads made with the most posts in the last hour, and have it refresh every hour.

Is there a modification or "hack" that does something similar to what I'm asking that I could just customize to suit my own needs, or do I have to basically code my own?

Or, is something like this even possible in vB, I'm not sure.
