Assigning moderators

So I'm an ex-IPB user and there was a way to assign a particular user group to moderate the forums. When I go to add moderators in vB, it looks like it's going to make me assign them user by user (by moderator name). Is there a way to assign by group instead of individual?

was this a really hard question? i know bumping topics is frowned upon but i figured this might be an easy one to answer.

Can anyone help with this? I'm still not finding a way to do this and it's been over a month. Someone out there must know the answer.

well, there is a default usergroup inside vB, called "moderators"

you could start by transferring the users you want to become moderator, to that group.

Then, you can assign categories or forums to them to moderate, and set their mod rights for each one. If you want the users to have modrights for ALL categories/forums, you might be better off transferring them to the "super moderators" group and then check if the 'group rights' allow them to edit/delete/move other people's topics and posts.

Greetings Wouter

But from AdminCP -> Forum Manager It seems that I can only assign individuals as Moderators. Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks
