I was brainstorming with my husband tonight and we were talking about how to bring more people into our community. Currently our community is only about 15% of our traffic and not many people ever participate or visit our forums.

One section we have that is really popular is our "polls" section which is a list of polls that our visitors could respond and see results to. Totally separate from our community.

So we decided that "why not use the polls from our community for this polls section"? It would get people to our forums and give people the option of registering and sharing their opinions on the polls!

I'd like to have a polls only page that lists all of the poll threads only and give the ability to choose which forums to pull them from. I was thinking it could look like this:

Forum 1
~ poll question 1
~ poll question 2
~ poll question 3
~ more...
Forum 2
~ poll question 1
~ poll question 2
~ poll question 3
~ more...

Sorted by last time visited/updated and maybe show the top X poll threads per category? The "more" link could be a list of all polls in that forum or maybe a link back to the forum?

Is this do-able?

I can try to work on this, Me2Be. Shouldn't be too difficult. I'll start it first thing tommorrow. :)

I have found something similar on a german site:

http://www.aktienboard.com/

Look at the right center of the page. There are two polls of the vB.
Maybe the author tells us here how he has done this.

If I were you, I wouldn't be complaining, judging from the fact that you got 550,000 posts last week according to your signature.

Um, who said I was complaining?

That was COMPLETELY uncalled for. I'm very proud of my board, and the fact that the Vbulletin software handles it so wonderfully!
