Left / Right Columns

Whenever i try to use one of the hacks that add a left / right column, the forums are pushed to the right / left, making them go out of bound. If anyone could provide me a solution i would be extremely grateful.

This will be style related issue. You will need to check how your style is coded, especially things like large images used for category strips etc.
