Avatar conditional: edit avatars even if they're disabled?
 

Is there any way to have the "edit avatar" link and function show up in the userCP whether or not avatars are enabled in Options?

I would like for people to be able to delete or change their avatars even when avatars aren't enabled on the board. As opposed to having to enable them just so people can delete or change them for themselves.

Avatars are only allowed for one usergroup, if that helps.

Or alternatively - is there any conditional that would allow me to show or not show the avatars?

So, they'd be enabled in Options, which would allow people to delete them, but they wouldn't actually show up in the posts?

(I know this seems like a nutty request, but I have a good reason for asking.)
