Does anyone know of a place where I can get custom skins for my VBulletin? I want one specially designed for my site and only my site. I am willing to pay up to $100, but nothing more.

you won't get much of one, if any, for that price ;)

Yea, sounds a bit cheap really for a custom skin made to your specs. I would have said about $200 or £100

Actually most skins that are actually worth something are $500+. You will not find anyone to do an actual CUSTOM skin for you for $100.00 - Maybe you will find someone to change the colors and make you a logo.

Ya know, this actually leads to a question I've been meaning to ask for a while.... Is there any tutorial anywhere on vBulletin skins? I know I could mess around with my CSS and images (gradients and buttons), which is color wheel and Photoshop 101. That would actually be 80-90% of the customization I'm looking for. Maybe a bit of menu customization on top, but that's about it.

Not to disrespect the outstanding work done by the advanced designers who sell their stuff here. I don't want anything that radical. Not a cheapskate either; I just don't really want a million third party logos on my site either, which is why I pay for nonbranded vBulletin, vBPortal, PhotoPost etc. I haven't seen a skin I like enough to pay the nonbranded fee for.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Dutchmang, try and hire someone to do a custom skin for you and pay them for a copyright removal option. It normally costs about 25% - 40% of the total project cost.

PS jeremy, a fully custom skin will take about four weeks to code... now think about the prices
if you don't like to share that skin with others;)

I do custom skins for free :). They aren't top top top quality, but they are damn good for free.

I do it all. Forum markers, thread markers, banner, all images on vb get tweaked or made anew, for the most part. Any money you pay me is whether you like it or not.

SKinning is fun for me, I dont make an actual business for it.

thanks for your thoughts guys, i might just try to make it myself with a bunch of mods and hire a graphic designer to make the images.
