Transfer Users??
Ok I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. If not I'm sorry.
I have a postnuke site, I want to move away from postnuke, to switch to vbadvanced and synch that with my vbulletin. Does anyone know how I might be able to transfer my postnuke users into my vbulletin so that I can get rid of postnuke? |
Use ImpEx, it's available in your vBulletin.com Members Area.

Mmm... As far as I'm aware Impex can't take users from postnuke to vbulletin...
|
That's the point of ImpEx -- to transfer all your board data from one software over to vBulletin. I don't know the list of boards supported by ImpEx off the top of my head, but I know PostNuke is rather popular, so I'm almost certain it's supported.

postnuke isn't a board though it's a cms. i have impex at home, i'm not there so i can't double check but i'm very certain it can't. well i'll check in a couple hours. ^_^

If you're using Post Nuke with phpBB, then it'll work.
|
impex works with phpbb. i used to have phpbb but it couldn't synch with postnuke. i then got pnphpbb which does synch with postnuke. i can convert my pnphpbb back to just standalone phpbb but i would need a script that would update all my users straight into my pnphpbb (as it only updates with users as they login to the forum, and not all of them have done so) and then i can use Impex with phpbb.
i was just hoping there would be a simpler way to go directly from postnuke to vbulletin. @_@ i've contacted the creators of pnphpbb to see if they still had a script that updated all the postnuke users with pnphpbb (as they used to) and have recieved no response. so i'm a bit frusterated. i can't ditch my postnuke for vbadvanced until i can get my users. grrr. |
pnphpBB works with ImpEx, you just say you're using phpBB -- works the same. If you read over at vBulletin.com, you'll see a bunch of threads regarding converting pnphpBB.
|
i'm just researching now about how to get all my users to show up in pnphpbb, as it stands only users who sign into the forum show up in pnphpbb to be converted and not all of my postnuke users have logged into the forum. *sigh* so i need to find a way to update that first.

Really makes me appreciate just using phpBB! :p
