SMTP mail problem
 

I am using vb 3.6.4! Recently I started using SMTP option for mailing through vbulletin. I am using my main mail box(Gmail's) SMTP server options. Now the problem is whenever any person sends mail via contact form even after giving his own mail id...the mail always shows sender as me(..ie. my gmail email id). It does not show the mail id of the person who send the mail.

How to fix this? Any ideas?

With SMTP, you are the sender. With PHP mail, any header can be created.

Is the poster the reply to? Look at the headers. I dunno if ya can make the email look like they sent it because of the SMTP connection. They wouldn't have access. PHP mail by passes all that.
