who has seen it and whaca think? i'm very curious, it looks very impressive, but so did the apple ipod at first.

ipods are a great product, but their are still those who complain about batteries dieing after 14 months, or the whole unit breaking, people complain about the fact that songs bought with itunes aren't easily transfered to other devices.

so maybe apple has a lil bit of a monopoly? well, some one is sueing them for that now. Funny.

So the iphone looks sweet, but what will arise? I'm curious as to the duriablity of this touch screen and the battery life of such a said unit outside of what APPLE will claim.

I like 3rd party research better.

How come they claim they invented Multi-touch, when in fact it's been in developement by a dozen people for years. We've all seen the multi-touch video on the internet with the techno music. LAIRS!

But, maybe those others took a page from XEROX and invited something with out getting a patient. Remember Xerox invented the mouse and PC and never got patients.

4GB model will be 499 and 8GB model will be 599

Still over priced. The thinking according to steve jobs, well people buy pda phones for 399 then buy an ipod for 299 so why not just combine them since our phone is so much better.

I suppose, but even the ipod is over priced. Cingular though made a smart choice by being the partner here with apple. Sprint and Verizon will miss out becuase of this.

I've a touch screen telephone on my O2XDA so I'm curious also about such a claim!

It looks cool, thought a little big to be carrying around in my pocket if you ask me. I also don't like the idea of being left unreachable because I listen to music all the time, so it will definately take some development before it will actually replace my good-old phone and iPod setup, which works just fine for me.

Cingular already offers the blackjack? though which pretty much does the same thing. Though the sales of that will be no where near the sales of this due to it carrying the APPLE name :noway:

Sounds interesting, of course. Maybe some operators here will offer some bundles so the iPhone will be not that expansive...
