Tools Database

I'm not sure if this has been ever suggested but here I go. How about having a tools database where we can find a number of hosted tools (that's up to vB.org) to make administering our community easier, plus downloadable tools to implement on our site such as a timestamp tool, skin generator, password tool, etc. Let's take the "Password tool" for example. With this tool, you will have the ability to convert text into MD5, SHA1, CRC32 checksum and converge hash types. We already got a mod, skin, graphic database for each so a tool database wouldn't be a problem, I guess.

I'm really looking forward to this. :)

Feel free to start a thread with links to such tools.

What is that supposed to mean? Oh have you made another database for Tools as well?

Marco van Herwaarden 01-06-2007 04:52 PM

That means that if you have a list of tools that are usefull to vBulletin owners/Coders/Designers you could just start a thread (Article?) listing them. No need for a database i think.

Heh well that's funny. Just admit it that you guys are TOO lazy to make another database for tools this time.

Just kidding. :p

I already made an article about the whole modifications stuff as it wasn't my job to do so and you're expecting to make one for tools now?

The staff are not lazy, there simply is no need for a database since there aren't a lot of maintenance tools out there.

Nobody is expecting you to do anything, but if - even considering there aren't a lot - you need a listing of such tools, why don't you make one? Somebody has to, could as well be you (since you are the one who needs it).
