How can I put a banner next to my logo in the header?

I have a huge blank space next to my logo on my forum's header and a company has just asked me if they can stick a banner n there for a load of money.

Would it simply be a case of entering an html link in the header template or is there a better way..(note I don't need complex hacks or rotations, or cpm stats.)
