I've seen it on forums like, namepros.com, talkfreelance.com etc.

How can I put a sidebar left or right (preferably left), with like an advertiser bar and affiliates etc.

Is vBadvanced needed?

You can probably just change your table sizes inside the CSS settings of your template to make room for it. Isn't vBadvanced just a portal system for the forum?

Yah, but I was just wondering if there is a hack to do it. I've seen a lot of forums with it, and would love to add it on my forums. And have an option to add new modules etc.

Does anyone have an idea of how this could be done?

Both by amykhar. Or my own does both with some extra options, though it might not fit what you want to do with it.

Thanks for the links, which one is yours? I asked in that thread if they're compatible with 3.5x and 3.6x as I'm really interested in them working.
