vBulletin Forum Converted for Local Use and CD

I would be grateful if someone could tell me if they have come across a mod that allows the conversion of vBulletin to either an executable or local version - i.e. effectively converting the forum into a version that can be used locally on a users pc. The reason for wanting to do this is to distribute a CD to users with the full forum content.

My rough estimation as to how this would work would involve possibly converting the database into text files so that the forum is effectively driven from these instead of the MySQL database. Obviously the added issue would be that PHP being a server side technology would also need to be converted to some other form of script - i.e. the idea being that the user with any setup can run the forum as if they were running directly from the site. I understand the negatives of this - e.g. users would not have latest posts - but I can see huge uses for this.

Kind Regards,
Raheel

If you want to use vBulletin on your local PC, then you will need to install a webserver, PHP & MySQL.
