Moving Threads from one site to another?
 

Is there a way I can MOVE threads, intact, from one of my vBulletin message boards to another one?

I am guessing that no replies in 20 months is the equivalent of no. ;)

Is there really no interest in having an import facility that operates at the thread level? Maybe it is just too complex to contemplate.

I think this can be done with Impex, but limiting it to one or a few threads might be difficult.

If you delete all the threads from the old database then impex them then yes.

ImpEx can only import entire boards. It can not import single threads for the simple reason that it will also need other info like the forumid (it only knows the "old" forumid, so the old forum must also be imported or ImpEx would not know where to place the thread), usergroup/permission info, name & userid of the posters (again the "old" id's need to be matched with new imported users), etc..
