vb.org Archive - Image pop up's don't play nice?

I've been trying to impletent some sort of image pop up/changer for the past two days and can't get any of them to work well with the vBadvanced content pages. I've tried outside javascript sources, apparent vBulletin add-ons for lightbox etc... and while I can get every single one to work when I'm viewing the straight HTML page... once I link to that exact same page with vBadvanced, it doesn't work, instead opening all images in a new tab/window.

Is there something I am missing? Or can I not use these scripts with vBadvanced?
