script kiddies

someone trying to piss about on the site by running scripts from within threads. Is there anyway to stop this ???

as was told if anyone had clicked the link then this other person would of got their cookie for that board + any other boards they on.

Logged in as bloodX???? and tried to hack using vbulleting exploits.

Spoke to guy on msn - seem to of sorted this now.

Edit

On further research into this im amazed at the amount of hacks out there for vb boards that allow hackers to compromise our sites.Goes to show how vulnerable we really are.

vBulletin itself alone is very secure. It's just the modifications that make a board vulnerable.

Modifications just add more points of attack....if modifications are coded correctly they are just as secure as anything else. Bugs are going to happen even when things are done correctly, just a fact of life.

Thats the truth. Thats why just adding all the mods on the planet is not a good idea. I only have like 3 total on most my forums.
