Unreleased versions?
I was just thinking, why exactly does it go from 3.0 to 3.5?
Were 3.1 through 3.4 never released? |
Errm...
I guess thats what jelsoft decided to do  |
No everyone numbers their versions the same. It's really random and upto the software provider. There is no international version standard.

Generally software follows the convention that "x.0" means a major rewrite, "x.5" means it's a substantial upgrade but not a major rewrite, intermediate decimals are "feature releases" that add capabilities to existing code, and "x.0x" releases are bug fixes.
Then there's Microsoft and some others who try to avoid the convention altogether... so there are no hard and fast rules. /Does this for a living //Likes the way Jelsoft does it |

I think Ajax was added to 3.5 series and not 3.0 hence, was considered as a major upgrade, even full-text search was implemented during this versions...
