Cull Topic Starter and all topics started by from one forum
 

At present I have a numerous sub-forums and extract the latest post by the author to a page:

What I want to do is get rid of each sub-forum and merge it all together into one forum then do a fancy query to a static page cronned every 15 mintues or so like the one above..

I want it to show their last post, and when clicked on their name pulls a list of all their topics from that single forum..

I'm fearing that the current setup (numerous and growing sub-forums) are going to crush my datastore/cache...

Any ideas, existing mods or query samples would be helpful-
