website access controlled by vB name/pw
I need to setup an html website on the same server which will only be accessible to appropriate members of my vB board.
My idea is to setup the web in a high level directory (not searchable via google), then set up a link to the "home page" from within a protected part of the vB board only accessible to the right guys. Will that work OK? If yes, how do I set about: 1. Setting up the directory for the website in a place not searchable or accessible via the web directly? similar to setting the directory for "attachments" for vB? 2. How do I embed a "url" into my vB board in a PW protected location to create the link to the secret location? Thanks for help on this newbie stuff :) Regards, Mike |
