OpenSearch Easy
 

This mod its a alternative to this plugin called "OpenSearch" by Spleasure. I install the mod, but the replacement dont work here, then I read any hints here in vb.org and made my own modification to the open search.

# How to install?

Firs place the opensearch_easy.php to your board root folder, now go to your admincp and import the xml product.

Tested in vBulletin 3.6.4 + IE 7 + Firefox 2. Maybe works with other browsers and vb from version 3.x untill latest version.

# FAQ:

1. How to show my icon in search combo?

You need place an ico file named favicon.ico in your board root folder.

# Version history:

0.2 - xml generated by an new .php file and no more by uggly misc.php from vbulletin system.
With this new php file, boards from asia or that use accentuation in the title dont have more problem to add the engine in to the browser.
0.1.2 - more default fields from OpenSearch specifications added.
0.1.1 - change '&' to '& amp;' to avoid erros like 'internet explorer could not install this search provider'.
0.1 - initial release.

hmm, nuthin' to see in firefox while it does work with IE7? :/

Doesn't work in Firefox 2 nor IE 7 :(

Both of them shows...but when you try to install...Firefox 2.0.1 gives javascript error...IE 7.0 gives "there was a problem with search provider's information" message. :hurt:
