Members bikes/cars show on separate page for searching?
 

I'm starting a new local motorcycle forum and it will be for members with various kinds of motorcycles. A big feature I want of the site will be for members to be able to search for members with similar bikes so they can hook up and discuss their bikes. The best way I've known for handling this is to make a member profile field called "bikes" and make it searchable. Can anyone think of a better way of doing this? My ideal setup would be to have a page called "members bikes" where it just listed all the different bikes by members (hopefully alphabetical) and you could click on the member name to PM them or whatever. I know this is way too specific to have been done before but I was wondering if anyone knew of a hack that has been done that is close to this idea. I would think with all the car, truck and bike forums out there someone would have come up a need for this. I tried to search before posting but came up dry.
