A MOD that makes it so people who have invalid email addresses...
 

can not view the forum until they confirm their address. they will be greeted with a message until they do...

part 2 to this would be...
automatically deleting new users who after x days havent confirmed their email.

i think this is needed b/c bad emails bounce....which i dont think is good.

Change the forum permissions for the users awaiting email confirmation usergroup to cannot view forum, or just to view certain forums.

I think they mean a message is displayed, like the welcome headers mod.

Yeah that would work too. I'd missed the bit about the message and just focused on the not being able to view the forums. Both would work nicely in conjunction with each other :)

^ always have had it like that......but seem i get emails from bounced emails all the time at my admin address. fills up my box!!!
