Email Filter 3.6.X

1 Attachment(s)
Description:
This mod allows you to white list email domains from which new members can only register from. Instead of banning all the thousands of free emails (@hotmail.com...etc) out there why not only allow a few ISPs that you trust. Also this mod will allow you to white list TLD like a .edu or .gov so anyone (example student@university.edu) can register at your forum without you having to add every university manually.

Version:
3.6.X

History:
1.0.0
First version.

Installation:
1) Import the product.
2) Go to AdminCP >>Vbulletin Options >> User Registration Options
3) Add your valid email domains

Awesome work. This will be really handy on my other sites. Thanks.

Looks good. I am looking for the opposite. Like you said I want to ban all the thousands of free emails (@hotmail.com...etc) I only have a few that are giving me problems. Thanks!

ryancooper, all the spambots that i notice come from all the unknown/newly registered throw away domains.

Great filter. Thanks.

I've just modified the text displayed when a registration fails as I don't want to disclose to the spammers what filters are in place ;-)

Is there anyway to add a variable to this, so that users who DON'T have a valid email address are still allowed to register, but are added to a more restricted user group?
