vb.org Archive - really need advice here... new forum update

Right currently running on a vb forum - all is currently good and stable.

spend the past week coding a new forum in the latest VB, adding in the plug ins, configuring everything, altering graphics, modding templates etc...

its ready to go now.

we are gonna turn off our current forum tomorrow - can someone give me a step by step guide on how to alter the database the new forum looks at?

i'm assuming all i have to do is move the new forum folder into the directory its meant to be in and then change the database the forum looks at?

i'm a bit hesetant to play with this as i really dont want to loose over a years worth of forum content/users n the like so any help/tips/advice would be much appreciated
