Admin Permissions!?!

Heyy, please help me...

i'm the root admin of my forum...and i have a super-moderator...i want to give him some "Admin permissions" like "Users, usergroups etc"

Now can anyone please tell me that how can i refrain him from moving himself/or any other member to the administrator's usergroup...like he's the moderator, he dont have full rights...he can move himself to the administrators usergroup, how can i stop him from doing that??

Please let me know!!thanksss

a little trick I used at one point to deal with exactly this situation was to set up the permissions as I wanted him to have, then added his userid and mine to the uneditable admins in config.php and then he couldn't change his permissions or mine.

just doing a bit of research on this subject thus the bump....

but have discovered that this also means that you as the main admin will not be able to change the users settings i.e if you want to promote yourself or demote the moderator you have set....

...then you will have to go into the config.php file and remove the users from the editable user list save the file....make the changes you want and then go into the config.php file again and re-do changes to uneditable users.

Kerry-Anne is there a way (or a hack) to get around this?

Surely there is a hack that allows partial admin control for mods with being able adjust their own settings or any admins user settings.

Most user options can be accessed through the user control panel. But yeah, you would have to edit the config file.
