What should i start a forum for?
 

Well i have a license and im honestly not sure what to do with it.

I want to do something useful with my license that might also be of some benefit to some people :)

I was thinking something maybe along the lines of a DIY forum or something, as i have alot of talents and skills with DIY type stuff, so that might be something worthwhile... but other than that im nto really sure what i could do.

Not only that, i mean really hat could i do that hasnt already flooded the market?

A DIY forum sounds like a terrific idea to me.

Hi, BigJohnny if you don´t know what are to do whit your license i give you one idea, create a community who talks about hacks of vBulletin, helps, modifications and so on...or you can standby at apears one idea.Regards

there are so many vbulletin hacking sites out there it isnt funny.

Everyone of them has a custom hackmod database, and they arent publicly available.... i cant code one myself, and dont really have muhc coding ability, so i dont think starting a vbulletin hacking site is something i could really undertake.

DIY = Do It Yourself.

I recommend you look at what interests you -- such as DIY stuff -- and then start getting to know the existing community. Are there problems in that community that you could solve with a highly targeted forum? Are there gaps in the information/community online? For example, if people are interested in building their own widgets, and you see that there are no widget building communities available, than you could fill that hole. Alternately, maybe there is a widget building community, but it's too heavily moderated and people are unhappy. Create an unmoderated widget-building forum.

Just some thoughts...

well i definitly build some odd gadgets some times... so i thin i would gear more towards a sort of invention type forum as opposed to like a fix it yourself ... build a house type of DIY stuff.

kind of like a place where people come and trade ideas on all kinds of things.
but how would i even start such a forum... how does one even go about getting their first member you know....

i dont really know anyone i could bring to the board.. it would basically be all me until i got some members and could get some good qualified staff.

my vote is for do it yourself, that's a great idea.

You should make something you enjoy doing, I would say thats the main thing. The DIY idea sounds great
