Alternating Post Bit Please

Hello , I have been looking around for a script that would alternate the colours of posts one after another.

instead of this

--------------------
red | Blue
--------------------
red | Blue
--------------

I would like this:
-------------
red post
-------------
blue post
-------------
red post
-------------
blue post
-------------

I tried to edit the post bit template with no luck. Even played around with replacement variables.

Could someone please help me. I am stuck.
