i need help with forum home page????????
 

a member hacked into the my forum home page. i was trying to add another index.php but i messed up , where do i get another home page index.php file and get it back up? please help im new with this.

dont know much but have you tried re uploading the index.php from your hard disk ??

Also check if your host has a backup of your board :)

yes tried the index.php from the vbulletin download, didnt work. ill check with host any other way? im using a different skin. woud there be one n there

most of the time it is not the file and just the template. Revert your FORUMHOME template and see if that helps.

without admincp access I see no way for a normal user to do so.
before trying to fix your page you should try to find out how he hacked the side, otherwise he might be able to do this again.

btw. change all your passwords!

YES HE HAD ADMIN ACCESS. but i banned him and his ip address. so tahts set now i just need to get this back up. so there is a forum hoem template that i need to re install in ? ill check that out. tahnsk fo rhelp guys. im very new to this.

a good lesson to remember.... give your admins limited access as admins.... and always.....back up your site.....

ok well i fixed it. found out from a friend i had to reload the cmps file{index.php} so i did that and its back up. thanks for all your guys help tho.
