Function
A userbar is a small image (350*19) typically used in the signatures of forum users, to show their support for software, hardware, food, pretty much anything. The new application allows you to dynamically create userbars including several plugins to display text.

Don't forget to hit install !!!!!!!

Current Features

Userbars for Vbulletin is created by StonyArc. The application is inspired and partially driven by the Dynabars scripts by Kenneth Watson.

Userbars for Vbulletin takes full advantage of direct integration with Vbulletin and allows users to directly create usersbars (both single and rotating as animated gif).

By using plugins other integrations are possible. The plugin creation guide is available on request.

This has taken quite some work and still will take a lot more. Please give credit where credit is due. You cannot remove any notice without prior written permission.

- Read the attached PDF for more information. The pdf is also included in the zip file.
- Some directories must be chmod to 777 (list included in pdf)
- vbuserbar requires PHP and the GD2 image library.
- The mod_rewrite module must be loaded as well. This is most of time on by default. If you run your own Server you can load it yourself in the php.ini. If not, please contact your hosting provider to activate it.

Cool Mod if I think id does what im imagining.. Couple of questions is this feature usergroup based as I would only like my premium members to use it.
Also my site is on a Windows Server so it does not have any rewite scripts and my ISP will not install any so the mod_rewrite module I believe is not available.

Also you posted a link to a demo http://www.xboxusersgroup.com/forums/vbuserbar.php
I would rather not have to register to only see a demo, is there a test ID we can use?

Last but not least :classic: is there any screen shots of menus of how a user can create his own userbar ?

Currently there is no usergroup support added. It's on the list for V2 todo. The mod rewrite is however necessary because or the URL rewrite for the images and chache.

Is the server running apache on windows or just using php support on IIS.

I have the app running on a windows machine too and on a linux machine so with apache there shouldn't be any issues.

ps: this app is also available on 3.6.X

my server won't allow me to upload a file named .pureftpd-upload.45670602.15.377f.62d3b106 (located in userbar\designer\actions\smarty\libs\plugins) to my site, and it won't allow me to change the name to that, either saying it is an illegal filename. When I open that file in a text editor I see that it is a blank file.

edit- well, I tired it without that file and it works fine so I guess that was just an extra file.

Now I am running in to another problem, uploading images. I created an image that is the right size (350x19) however when I try to upload it I get an error message telling me that the image is the wrong size. Any help is appreciated.

Man this hack is pretty sweet but unfortently my ISP is running IIS with php support not apache )=:

Did you chmod 777 the /images/content?

Did you try making one using the gradient checkbox that you can use to create images on the fly?
