Custom drop-down field and search criteria
 

Hi,

I'd like to add a "content language" drop-down custom input field when a users creates a new thread

The user will have to chose among available languages that I'll have defined.

I'd like to make a multi-language forums site where content in any language can reside in the same forums.

A bit like youtube, where you choose a language for your content and then you post it.

I found some plug-ins allowing to add custom fields but I couldn't find anything that let's me add a drop-down list of choices.

It would also be good to be able to filter search results or RSS feeds using one of these new criterias.

If you know any plug-in that already does a part or all of this, your feedback is welcome.

This can be used for many other cases, it's basically the ability to add fileds that serve as criterias to filter threads on search/display and RSS.

I first thought I'd go with a sections by language but I prefer the Youtube way of internationalization that focuses on content type.
