I installed the simple member number hack
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...threadid=12066 using $userinfo[userid] in my postbit template But the thing is.. all my member numbers start like at 2,000 instead of 1... yes I transferred from a UBB. IS there anyway I can reset my member numbers back to where they were? I tried the update counters thing and it didnt fix it. |
Perhaps you originally transferred your UBB, wiped it out and did it again?

The user numbers are apparentely determined by including the 'userid' column from the database. Because of the fact that that column *always* increases - never fills in gaps with new records or the like - your userids could very well begin at 20, or 200, or 2,000. You'd need to use more than just $userinfo[userid] to get an accurate count - which potentially means more queries. (Oh, and you'd have to do this for each post in a thread - which could get somewhat resource-intensive.)

Freddie: Yes, I was helping him and we imported from UBB, wiped it, and imported again. There was some reason we did this. Can't remember what though...
Armage: You're right. It auto-increments. I'm not sure there is a way to get an "accurate count" (which would actually just be an accurate number, not a count), outside of ordering by join date and counting from the first registration. |
