How to merge forums?

Hi there,
If you click the "Forum" link in my signature, you will see a list of my forums, I want to Merge "Home Games" into the "Events" forum and delete the Home Games forum once all the threads have been moved.

What's the best way to do this?

Any help appreciated:)

There's no way to merge forums specifically, so you should mass-move all your threads from one forum into the other, then just remove the one you don't want.

AdminCP > Thread & Posts > Move

Thanks for the reply.

I saw that option all right, but I did it before and I can't for the life of me remember doing it that way. Even looking at the options I'm at a loss as to how to move all threads from a specific forum into another.

Any chance you could tell me what options I should be picking?

I don't know what's happened, it's either me or VB, probably me because I've done this exact thing before:confused:

Destination forum is the forum you want all the threads to end up in. You want to merge Home Games into Events, so Events will be the destination forum.

You skip over all the other options except the Forum option near the very bottom and select Home Games. If you want to include child forums of Home Games, select Yes.

Click Move threads.

After you move them, update your counters like the AdminCP will suggest.
